With the approach of winter, surely a juicy pomegranate is a treat for a hungry rat, the first animal of Chinese astrology. The signature calligraphy and the seals balance the composition, while seals draw the eye through the painting. The seals by the signature are both name seals. Those in the upper right corner are “peace of mind” and “about to smile.”
